OUR PROGRAMS
Support That Begins With Stability And Leads To Opportunity.
ROOTS delivers two connected areas of service: Housing & Support Services and Youth & Education. Together, they respond to immediate needs while helping young people and individuals build skills, confidence and stronger pathways forward.
Housing & Support Services
A stable home and consistent relationships can change the direction of a person’s life. ROOTS provides structured, responsive residential support centred on safety, dignity, personal growth and community inclusion. Services are individualized and delivered in collaboration with each person’s support network and referring professionals.
Youth Residential Care
Our youth residential services provide a safe, welcoming home environment for children and youth who require out-of-home care and individualized support. Trained staff maintain consistent routines, build trusting relationships and help young people strengthen the skills they need at home, at school and in the community.
Supportive Housing
ROOTS provides supportive living environments for individuals who benefit from stable housing combined with practical, relationship-based assistance. Support is tailored to the person and may include daily living routines, appointment coordination, community access, goal-setting and preparation for greater independence.
Developmental Services
Our developmental supports are person-centred and responsive to individual abilities, communication styles and goals. We use consistent routines, positive relationships and practical skill-building to promote choice, participation, well-being and greater independence in everyday life.

Youth & Education
Young people need opportunities to discover their strengths, develop practical skills and connect with adults who believe in them. ROOTS delivers accessible education and community programs for youth, with particular attention to high-priority neighbourhoods and communities facing barriers to opportunity.
Tutoring & Academic Support
Our tutoring programs help students strengthen foundational skills, complete schoolwork and become more confident learners. Support is responsive to each student’s needs and emphasizes consistency, encouragement and achievable progress.
AI & Digital Literacy
ROOTS introduces youth to artificial intelligence and practical digital tools in a safe, responsible and accessible way. Participants learn how to use technology for research, creativity, problem-solving, school and career exploration while also understanding online safety, accuracy, privacy and responsible use.
Mentorship & Leadership
Through trusted relationships and guided activities, youth receive encouragement, practical advice and opportunities to build self-awareness, communication, goal-setting and leadership skills. Mentorship helps young people recognize their strengths, navigate challenges and make informed decisions about their future.
Sports & Recreation
Basketball and soccer create powerful opportunities for movement, teamwork, discipline and belonging. ROOTS programs combine skill development and structured play with mentorship, positive peer relationships and healthy recreation.
